At exit 29 of the A43, you’ll find two independent hotels nestled in a small village in the Maurienne Valley. By taking this exit, you’ll be right at the foot of the ski resorts of Valloire, Valmeinier, and Val Thorens (part of the Three Valleys).

In this part of the Maurienne Valley, there are no very low‑priced hotels such as HotelF1 or Première Classe. You’ll find these very cheap hotels in Chambéry, about 50 minutes away by car.
You can however check current prices at this Exit 29 of the A43. Remember that prices vary depending on the season, ski period, and room availability.
For families, the Le Marintan Hotel offers spacious and well‑soundproofed rooms, convenient for a quiet stop with children. The Savoy Hotel restaurant, located in the village centre, provides easy access to local shops. It also has its own restaurant, which is handy for families and is right in the middle of the village.
Exit 29 of the A43 at Saint‑Michel‑de‑Maurienne doesn’t have any hotels with a swimming pool. If a pool is a must, you’ll need to stop at Chambéry. Coming from Lyon, take exit 15 Chambéry, and heading towards Lyon, take exit 18 Chambéry.
The hotels most often booked are the Le Marintan and the Savoy Hotel restaurant, thanks to their easy access from the A43 and good value for money. Their convenient location attracts both passing drivers and holidaymakers heading to the ski resorts.
The Savoy Hotel restaurant has its own restaurant serving regional cuisine. If you prefer the Le Marintan Hotel, it’s only 600 m from the Savoy Hotel restaurant, and several other restaurants are less than a kilometre away. Both options allow you to book a stay with meals available on site or very close by.
