Book the hotel at the A11 motorway rest area near Angers

Between Paris and Nantes, north of Angers, the Portes d’Angers rest area is the only one on the A11 motorway that offers access to a hotel without leaving the motorway.

Time-saving and easy to book as there’s only one hotel available. As you approach, a quick signal and you’re there.

This rest area also has a McDonald’s restaurant, perfect for a quick meal. If you prefer something different, you can leave the rest area (and return) to visit one of the nearby restaurants, as this area is not within a toll zone.

Is the Portes d’Angers rest area accessible from both directions on the A11 motorway?

Yes.

From Paris: You’ll need to refuel upon arrival at the rest area, then exit the station on the right to take the slip road that crosses the motorway, as the hotel is located on the Nantes to Paris side. You can rejoin the motorway via exit 14 on the A11, which is very close by.
From Nantes: The hotel is on the rest area in your direction. You can refuel either when you arrive or when you leave.

Choosing a hotel at a motorway exit or on a rest area

Staying at a rest area is often a practical and efficient option as it avoids passing through the toll barrier. On the A11 motorway, the only rest area with a hotel is outside the toll zone.

To save a few minutes when booking and during your stopover, stay at the rest area.
For a wider choice of hotels, go back to the A11 map and choose exit 14, which is 500 m from the rest area.
